IMPLANTS · A VISUAL PATIENT GUIDE

How dental implants work

A visual guide to implant components, restoration stages and different ways to replace missing teeth, using photographs supplied by our clinic.

Three parts working together

The implant is the supporting part placed in the jaw. An abutment connects it to the visible restoration: a crown, bridge or denture.

Your dentist plans these parts together around the teeth being replaced, the available bone and your individual needs.
